These are My film production and distribution idents which I have put together in After Effects, these will be included into my trailer and appear at times to break up parts of the story, i have included these due to them conventionally included to show which studio produced and which distributor back the film this can be crucial for a films success because some people may see who has produced/distributed and have seen one of their previous films therefore maybe also wanting to see a new film released by the same people.

Graphic idents plans

This is the basic layout and strucrure of the motion and look of my film producrion and distribution idents.



This is one of the textures i will be using for one of the idents and with few changes to layer positions and colours hopefully it will look conventionally like a film ident.

Basic Website and poster plan

The Images for both of these will be of the same scene but they may also be the same picture just at various angles depending on the key scenes in the film. The text for the titles and actors on the both these will remain the same and keep the same layout and formation appart from the actor names above.

My Film idea

Equipment and Software/Hardware

At school we have basic green screen facilities however about 30 minute drive away is a place that the public can use which have outstanding equipment for green screen if I needed to use this. I will be using a Canon HV30 HDV Digital camcorder to do my filming, I chose this due to there being two available so if one is took out then the other can be used also it has the ability to film in high definition and standard definition but HD can make rendering speeds at lot longer taking up more time, so I will have to make the decision in which quality to use. Most editing will be done on a brand new iMac intel duo core, 4GB RAM which are in school but some may be done at home. To edit video I will be using Final cut express which I have little experience in the past with however I have used Sony Vegas pro; at home, which has it's similarities also I think that you can both open there project files into either program therefore enabling me to be able to work on editing at home. To create my idents I will be using the adobe CS5 suite at school to create the basic images then taking them home where I have CS4 extended containing After effects and cinema 4D to create motion in the image. For my photo shoot for my website and poster i will be using a Nikon SLR D3100.

Basic story boards

The start of the trailer needs to get across how much the main charchters brother means to him and easily show that he is family and looks up to him,after this it shows the distribution and production logo which is after the intoduction to the film simular to trailer for films such as 'The Hurt Locker', 'Die Hard 4'and 'Armageddon' where you are introduced to the film then it shows you these slides, this is conventional for films like these using Todorovs theory where you will see the norm of the main charchters life and then there will be a distruption but in a trailer perspective the slide will come inbetween these to raise curiosity among the audience.

This is an alternative beginning to the start of the trailer and will be questioning my audience on which one they think puts across to them which shows there relationship better.

It then builds up by giving the audience the disruption of the film and then quickly adds to this.

It then moves onto his general life after and how he is coping with his loss

Ending with how he is going to resolve what has happened but then ending on a cliffhanger wondering what he will do about the situation.

This trailer is lasting for 1 Minute 18 seconds with the first beginninag ang 1 Minute 25 seconds with the alternative start.
